Welcome to Louisville Wedding Musicians. Louisville Wedding Musicians is a branch of SMT Music which is an agency that furnishes live music for weddings and receptions. The Louisville Wedding Musicians web site links with SMT Music where you can see photos, review video and hear lots of sound samples of wedding music.
Our wedding musicians are the finest in the area. All our musicians are experienced top notch players, reliable and courteous. The quality will compete with any you would find nationally. This month we are “spotlighting” one of our wedding musicians. (See below)
When you get to SMT Music, just scroll over the wedding button, and you’ll see a tab for Sound Samples. Please click that and you’ll be able to access over 50 examples of music for wedding processionals. The music is listed in the order of most processions for weddings. First we have the Entrance of Grandparents, then Parents. Next the Maid’s Music, Bridal Marches and Unity Candle. Finally, the recessional music. We have many other music selections in our library but these are some of the most played pieces for the processional part of the wedding. We also have lots of other music for the 30 minutes preceding the ceremony during which your guests are seated. We have an “eclectic” variety of prelude pieces: Classical of course, Beatles, Enya, Pop and Show Selections, Rags, Strauss Waltzes, nice Irish arrangements and unique arrangements such as All I Want Is You by U2. Wendy is an active freelance cellist in Louisville, KY. She has been teaching orchestra in the Jefferson County Schools since 1990 and maintains a large private teaching studio. She received a B.M. from the Eastman School of Music and an M.M. from the Cincinnati Conservatory. Ms. Doyle performs regularly with the Louisville Orchestra, touring Broadway shows, Music Theater Louisville and numerous ensembles, including the Kentucky Center Chamber Players. She has also performed behind many artists including Josh Groban, Johnny Mathis, and Natalie Cole to name a few. An experienced wedding musician, she brings the requisite skill of a polished performer combined with leadership and poise under pressure to insure smooth sailing during the wedding ceremony. We are very fortunate to have her as our as one of our key SMT Music wedding musicians.
She has also recorded with the Louisville Chorus and Voces Novae, as well as Days of the New and can be heard on the CD “Music for Egon Schiele” by the group Rachel’s. In 2002, she took a leave from her teaching duties to tour with the Broadway company of Beauty and the Beast.
